EN De Zwarte Ruyter shows a retrospective exhibition of works by Rotterdam based photographer Geirmundur Klein. The series of Geirmundur Klein reflect on the aesthetic framework of contemporary photography. With his limited editions published in the shape of books, he turns the basically unrestrictedly reproducible photographic image into an object, into a miniature of what Jean-François Chevrier called the tableau form as the main predicate of contemporary photography.
NL De Zwarte Ruyter toont een overzichtstentoonstelling van werken van de in Rotterdam gevestigde fotograaf Geirmundur Klein. De series van Geirmundur Klein reflecteren op het esthetische kader van de hedendaagse fotografie. Met zijn in beperkte edities verschenen kunstenaarsboeken draait hij het principe van het onbeperkt reproduceerbare fotografisch beeld om in een object. Een miniatuur welke Jean-François Chevrier benoemd als tableau form, het belangrijkste predicaat van de hedendaagse fotografie.
